Well said, mate. I've never known it so bad/fickle amongst fans. Is it just because how easy it is now on social media? Is it just because there was a bad taste left in the mouth last season what fans just won't forgive? I don't know. But it seems impossible to please some fans. We're Barnsley, not Man City.

Well said ML, it would be interesting to see how the pre season predictions compare against how we are actually performing. Also agree that this board is not what it used to be.

why is he a scapegoat? What’s the point in getting through with his current strike rate, it’s terrible

He's top scorer... and would have had another today if not for a incompetent ref

Why has he been singled out today when he did more than any other striker ? It's up to someone else to do better and earn his place which nobody did today in my opinion.

pits not just today though is it? It’s game after game, IMHO he’s had more than enough chances and would have been on the bench long since if we had , had anybody else

Like I've already said Tuesday night Norwood should have buried the one on one to make it 3 nil and kill the game but didn't and not many said **** on here. Cole should have scored before he did today but he had a perfectly good goal chalked off good touch and finish. Our biggest problem is we don't have a prolific goal scorer at this level, I think either of the 3 strikers we let go in the summer(cauley,Vic and morris) would have scored more than Cole or Norwood have but he does seem a real scapegoat at times abit like Vic was. But he's still top scorer.

personally I think Norwood at least offers us something different upside with a bit of power.
I just don’t get this a new striker has to earn his place business, most of us have been complaining for weeks about the number of chances we create and spurn early on.
It can’t go on with the same front two or we are just going to keep chucking points away and I think Cole is the one to make way.Yes he might be out top striker but I just think a more aware striker would have had way more. For instance the one he missed today, he looked up once and didn’t look up again even after three or four strides when he just hit the ball straight at the keeper.

@Mike Lowry totally agree mate, I'm delighted with the team at the moment, completely outperforming our expectations.

I think norwoods strong and come on alot because he looked like he had the fitness of a darts player when he 1st joined. But again he missed a great chance Tuesday and I want my strikers to score goals above all else.
People saying about Shaw he has played 12 games in the spl scoring 0 goals he scored in the Scottish 2nd tier but I think I could score a few in that league.
I trust duff happy for him to decide who he wants to play upfront we have options now.

2 points lost because of a male referee, absolute disgrace.

I wasn’t scapegoating Cole based on today.

He’s been way off colour for a good while now.

Though it does appear he’s had a better game today, I’ve not seen anything from today so far.

Awful decision but I don't think we would have scored if he hadn't blown. Looks to me like the keeper pulls out of it when he hears the whistle. Still an absolutely awful decision though and one that happens all the time in other areas of the pitch. I've no idea why refs insist on blowing immediately at times because there's no benefit to it
