Burton Train tickets on sale from today (cheaper)

Cheap(er) rail tickets have been released for the Burton game.

 

Don’t think it costs a lot usually tbh. You can generally get a Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket that knocks a bit off if I remember right?

 

Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket prices

• £14 for an adult (plus one child under 16)
• £7 for a senior citizen (aged 60 or over), a child under 16 (a dog may travel in place of a child) or a holder of a Gold Card or other English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) pass
• £25.20 for a group of up to 2 adults and up to 3 children (a dog may travel in place of a child)

These railway station ticket offices also sell Derbyshire Wayfarer tickets on the day of travel:

• Alfreton
• Burton-on-Trent
• Buxton
• Chesterfield
• Derby
• Long Eaton
• New Mills Central - only open on Mondays to Fridays, until 1pm
• New Mills Newtown - only open on Mondays to Fridays, until 1pm
• Sheffield

Adult day return from Barnsley to Sheffield is £5.60.

Child day return from Barnsley to Sheffield is £2.80.

 

No advantage booking in advance as far as can tell. Get wayfairer

 

I suppose it depends where you are travelling from and if you need/want a seat reserved.
