The club is literally in stasis and will be until the ground issue is sorted. It really is that simple.

Here's what I wrote on here 2 days prior to the rearranged game on A newsbot thread. Jan 30th.and wrote to the club about. But hadn't had a reply to date. So brought it up.

'One thing I have come across is some folk bought tickets for the original date and are now unable to attend the rearranged game through work, school etc.
They are actually hanging on to the tickets to keep their loyalty points. And it may occur when we rearrange the Exeter fixture.
I find this unfair if it has not been addressed and imo those people should be able to. 1. Keep those points and 2. A refund on their tickets.
Is it possible for the club to look at this issue. As I'm pretty sure most fans would not be against this type of action. And it would be a good gesture by the club imo. Apart from the administrative cost, Oxford would surely bear the brunt.
Doesn't affect me personally btw. But a few of our members. (Hoyland reds)'

Response was hopefully to respond within 24hrs
    Watch this space I suppose.

Brilliant feedback Marc btw. I reckon Paul may have some serious competition there. :)

Re the halfway question I missed the 'No' as I was pmsl.

That would solve the ground issue. They have the propensity to do it, yet won't. Why?

    a) It has to be for sale for them to do this. Do the council/Crynes still want to sell?
    b) The wider board had an option and the problem apparently was getting clear title on the ground because of the covenants attached to it. It wasn't a matter of finances supposedly.
    c) Standing back and looking at what happened with Conway and Lee, would we really have wanted them to get their hands on the ground anyway? I'm not so sure. If something can be agreed with the council for ground improvements tied in to a long term lease then it might be the best option for the stability of the football club (Although I remember even Patrick saying he wasn't 100% sure splitting the club from the ground was the right thing to do in hindsight even though it did provide protection from rogue future owners.)

There comes a point where you have to cross the road after looking left and right though.

This about sums it up for me from both the footballing and non-footballing angles, except the bits about Beavers and Onions, but each to their own. ;)

do those clubs start out the season with the ambition to win their league or sell players at a profit?

Spot on. Conway was a broker and when things went sour JAQ and co miraculously come out of the woodwork and make the exciting revelation that they can suddenly think for themselves. The atom was reinvented and we all live happily ever after.

so JAQ and her faceless nameless consortium, who employed Paul Conway as their rep were hoodwinked by him? Interesting claim. Almost as interesting as now being happy someone so easily hoodwinked is apparently in charge.

the hoodwinking was done in 2017. They’ve not woken up yet. And one ought to ask what are they all doing here? Parekh, JAQ and the rest. What is it all about?

Why wouldn’t they want to sell? To BMBC it is a liability. The Crynes don’t have the means to invest in it, so why are they sat on it?
