Agree, very impressive from what we saw today. Well done to the club, especially considering how notoriously difficult it is to bring in players in January.
Very well. Made one excellent save. Not much else to do, but communication with the defence looked sound, which is always a worry when a new keeper comes in.
Didn't have much to do but pulled off an absolute worldy to keep a clean sheet midway through the 2nd half.
Did everything right. Only had one real save to make, but it was a beauty. His distribution seems very good too. His kicking is that Jack Butland style hard and powerful but just above head height to reach the forwards. Good debut and pleased for the lad.
No, Cotter and Russell did though and both made a difference when they came on, particularly Russell who looks very composed on the ball.
Not seen the game. 2-0 win. Clean sheet. Watters will be dealt with by Duff no doubt. Scored the vital first, but sounds a silly but definite sending off. If there is a man manager that can get something out of that situation it is Duff.
Kept a clean sheet made a couple of good saves against a team who wouldn't score in a brothel so difficult to make a fair assessment of him.
Watters will Learn, duff will deal with it.People forget that some of these players have limited experience, are under the limelight but also are young men.
Excellent debut for me. Seems a good find. Personally I think it's the best distribution I have seen from our keeper in a long while.
I love how Bobby Thomas was “making his Oakwell debut” today according to the announcer… But yes, I think all our January signings look like they will bring something to the table. Would love to try and get Thomas on a permanent deal in the Summer.
Isted looked calm and confident which for a debut with a new to him defence is amazing. Russell looks real quality and Phillips will struggle to get his place back. Thomas looks like he has been here ages and only injury will Cundy back in and Cotter is rapid full of energy unfortunately for him Williams is quality. Watters and Shaw to push Cole and Norwood who were great today is a big front 4 for this league. I'm delighted with the signings.
Strange old business, whenever he played for us at Luton he did really well, never made an error yet only ever got picked when we were desperate and no other keepers available,
The lad looked comfortable, confident and solid enough. Dealt with what was asked if him (not much) and a good reaction save to their best chance. No qualms here if he was to be picked again anyway
