Absolute pillock. Three match ban, and hopefully a massive fine of his wages. No excuse for that whatsoever.
Should send him back to Cardiff. After that. Crazy. Full debut scores a tap in and then gets involved needlessly and puts us under the cosh for the rest of the game. Prat.
Absolutely furious. We’ve spent all week talking about ref decisions, then the bellend does that. 1000% indefensible.
He was actually looking at ball and attempting to win it though, didn't see player at all. Watters wasn't looking at ball and just wanted to elbow him
Not at all, he just went up for the header with his arm up, natural, didn’t even look at the player. Questionable that it’s even a foul - and a very harsh yellow in my eyes.
It bypassed me at the game and I didn’t see it but did notice that Watters basically ran away/hid from the ref, which kinda told me he was guilty of something. Seeing it back now, it looks a red. Stupid really.
I know it’s been said many times before, but I honestly can’t see how a player can jump without raising his arms. Watters was different as he appeared to deliberately swing his elbow.
He didn't just lead with his arm, it looked like forearm smash. Surprised the ref took so long to give it.
I guess his primary concern is with making sure the player is ok. then dealing with players from either side, trying to influence the refs decision. then another 20 seconds to work out where Watters was hiding. massively disappointed in him. worth a quick mention on the ref today though. with all that's been said over the past few week, I personally thought he had a very good game.
You can lead a horse to Watters. Will they drink? Maybe not blow this out of all proportion & let Duff deal with it.
I thought same at first, but looking back I think it was just because Cambridge players surrounded him whilst he was communicating with his assistants. I don't subscribe to the belief that Cambridge players influenced his decision. I think surrounding the ref can have an influence but not this particular time, was always going to be a red imo, and deservedly so. I'd love to know what was going through his head when he did it? Why? Home starting debut, scored a goal already, your teams winning. Then does that? Why? Did he & the other player have words and he wanted a bit of revenge??
Don’t talk so fffing daft.....ok he dropped a b00lock and yes we could have have done without him getting sent off.....but he will learn.....,and I also remember a certain Alex Mowatt getting sent off on his home debut too.....he didn’t turn out too bad did he?
