Maybe the demand is unprecedented in the sense that it's higher than the allowed number of fans after segregation?
Just had a quick look out of curiosity and there are plenty of seats still available in all stands. Unless a lot of non ST holders are leaving it late I don't think our home support will be much higher than normal. at most 11000 home + 5000 away = a total gate of 16000 which still leaves at least a couple of thousand home seats free. Id love to be wrong and we get close to selling out the home areas
"unprecedented demand" is one way of saying "Derby fans are wanting to buy tickets in the home areas" Simple.
I must admit "Unprecedented" is the only word I think is wrong in the official statement- its not unprecedented we have sold out the away stand on many occasions - I suspect Derby have filled it in the past but cant remember for sure. Its normal for games to be made all ticket if the away stand sells out
Be more transparent and just say it's been moved all ticket as our opposition have sold out. Don't make out it's demand when we've thousands of seats still available.
Right. You say 'simple', but that's not unprecedented at all, is it? Been loads of games made all-ticket because of this.
This is why the scarf idea is a bad idea, we’ll look daft. All we need to do is replicate the atmosphere from the last game.
They might look like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=aug...#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:7e931103,vid:FdSORiSaRW8
Derby fans must be laughing their ******** off looking at the fuss we are making of them with scarf day and now our captain doing an open letter.
Maybe the scarves is an incredibly clever way of protecting the home fans from the might of the DLF? Those Derby hooligans would never hit a scarfer, easy solution to stop trouble, all fans wear a scarf! Khaled may have come up with a master stroke.
Maybe. Perhaps he's testing the water to gauge reaction .... a master bait. The Derby fans will presumably turn up with black and white scarves. Even Doyle security will spot that one.
