Reds 8/1 for a Top Two Finish (Bet365, Hills, Victor). Only 5's with Paddy/Betfair. As pointed out elsewhere, they have two games in hand over Plymouth and play them at Oakwell in March. The other games remaining against top six opponents are both at home. The Reds currently top the form table over the last six games (on GD from Wednesday). By all accounts there was quite an atmosphere generated on Saturday and this seems to have helped propel the teams' efforts. It's likely this will continue so long as the results continue to hold up. Games in hand against Ipswich and Bolton give Barnsley every chance of overcoming that pair. The Reds can lose the Wednesday game and still have a very solid chance of second place in my view. 8/1 implies around an 11% chance of taking (at least) second spot. I think their chances are considerably better than that, so it's a must bet for me.
I took 10’s for promotion in November and the cash out value is just over double the stake. Gonna let it ride though.
Never say never. I can't help thinking about 15/16 season. We beat Walsall away to go seven points behind them. Then we dropped points in the run in. We got there with plenty of time to spare and blew automatic in my honest opinion. This season we've been up there around the Play-Offs all season. It isn't going to take a massive up turn. Just keep going.
We were never on for Automatic, bottom at Xmas its was a phenominal effort to get to 6th, we were still 11 points of Automatic though so I dont see how we blew it I can think of a couple of games we lost points we maybe shouldnt have but even with those we would have been at least another 2 wins short
