No, because in theory, whatever race you were, you could have played for Yorkshire if you were good enough as long as you were born in Yorkshire.
    It was regionalist.

I certainly didnt have an issue with it. I'd say the statement below has to be in the lightest form.
And would side with you, regionalist.

From 1968 to 1992, the club maintained a policy that only Yorkshire-born cricketers could play for the county team—a self-imposed apartheid system.

Nobody has said that he is.

I just think that it's a very poor turn of events, when it seems the main response to all of this is that because he's a d1ckhead, he deserves to be racially abused.

I just want my county to get to the bottom of it all, and that the path is clear for other BAME players to thrive at Yorkshire without this cloud hanging over us.

The fact that a well known d1ckhead is the one highlighting all this is of no matter to me.

Sorry I've just re-read what i wrote, and it comes across as I've accused you - so I apologise.

I just hate the "well he's not a nice person" defence.

I agree that the he's no angel arguement doesn't stand up but i remember him saying in interview when asked about the anti semitic abuse he'd dished out "yes but i'm a different person now" surely if he expects everyone to give him the benefit of the doubt he should be willing to do the same with others.

The abuse he received was horrible and should never have happened . However, until I hear this Morris lads reply, I will hold my judgement before his life is turned into a sh!tshow .

The ECB Discipline Commission is sitting this week, I think Vaughan is up tomorrow.

Interesting how all the claims so far appear to be accepted. Also, Bresnan's use of the term "brother" is a racist epitaph? Not sure about that one, I use on occasions to other white people, never thought I was being racist.

Every one of our players, and many players I see on other social media, without exception use the words 'bro' or 'brother' to address each other and apart from it sounding a bit daft and laddish I see no issue with it.
Look at Twitter and our own ex-players Andy Kiwomya and Wayne Goodison addressing each other. Obviously great mates, obviously fond of each other, and almost every exchange is bro or brother.
I simply cannot believe they have decided Bresnan is racist based on his use of this phrase.

Yeah, watching the PSL - the New Zealand commentator just said "get your running shoes on brother" - he'd better watch it.

There's a difference in calling your teammate "bro" and "brother" and referring to him and other Asians as "the brothers" and "you lot".

    Surely people can see that?

Hoggard seems to have fronted up and admitted his mistakes - fair play to him. And the fact that he's admitted to been in group chats where racism occurred, would suggest that the others are hiding something. Hoggard wasn't in a group chat on his own.

probably because his opinion would be totally irrelevant to the case.
