Spurs got what they deserved. Keeping Kane on the bench showed a bit of arrogance and disrespect towards SU. Thought they just had to turn up.
Pleased for Hecky. Had a lot of stick from some of dem Blades unhappy with them losing 2 on the trot.
That'll hurt. I'm a fan ( not supporter) and i'm devastated. It was them players only chance of silverware this season. Miles away from winning Champions League ( even though I think they'll overturn Milan).
Now Spurs can't win owt. They'll probably start playing "the Tottenham way" and dispatching teams by four and five coasting into a Champions League spot. Rinse and repeat next season.
Their upturn in form (excluding today ofcourse) has coincided with Conte being at Italy for the last month or so. Wonder if that's a sign about players mentality under him. A fair few Spurs fans seem to think they're more relaxed and less pressured - results would certainly back that up
Spurs always are at their best playing attacking football. Mourinho and Conte haven't been the answer. It's gutting. Spending all that money on crap and watching Chelsea and Arsenal still winning trophies. I slagged Levy but there isn't much more he can do.
Yeah people on at Spurs, mentioning no managers can turn them around - but their last 3 managers in Mourinho, Conte & Nuno Espirito Santo (spelling) all play with similar formations/style. And when you look at their defence compared for other 'big' clubs, it's really bad. Other than Romero they probably all could do with getting replaced.
Reminds me of when we did it in '85, winning away at Southampton (at The Dell) in the 5th round. And then Liverpool hammered us live on the telly in the Qtr final. Ohh and a black dog kept running onto the pitch lol.
Shame for them they only got Brighton away in the draw and not one of the bigger teams still in like City or United.
Brighton on a weekend is far better than Manchester. They'll sell out their allocation, have a great weekend and have a better chance against Brighton than either of the Manc clubs.
Much as I agree it's a great result for them I, for one, will not be listening to tonight's edition of "Blades or Grumble"
From a financial point, away at Old trafford would have been the best draw, after all they have little chance of beating Brighton the form they`re in.
Yeah no doubt they will sell out they took around 4500 to Southampton last night which is great support. But I was thinking the financial gain for the club. Brighton will be a tough game there having a good season.
