having trouble with the quote function? hmmmm I mean if we had an Asian player 30 years in the team that definitely means no one ever in the history of time will be racist hey….
What amazes me is how vividly Azeem Rafiq can remember every single so called incident and words said to him from many years ago.
Well, some people still - even in the internet age - keep a diary. Perhaps the incidents were written down as/when they happened and used to refresh the memory later. This is common advice in abuse situations - particularly to help get restraining orders against abusive partners.
Correct. It's amazing how people can't tell the difference between called "bro" as an individual and being called "the brothers" and "you lot".
That was my understanding from reading the summary of the reporting, so I was asking whether you had a different understanding.
I never said you had said he was a liar. You expressed incredulity at his ability to remember the incidents - please explain what you meant if you weren't trying to imply that his account can't be trusted? I guess you may have just been legitimately impressed by his memory, but I doubt that was the intended subtext of your post.
I find it hard to believe that that's the only view you hold of it as it came across as being quite sarcastic. Clearly other people have interpreted it the same too.
Come on Jack, we're not stupid. You clearly were insinuating he's embellishing the truth and clearly NOT making a point of how impressed by his memory you are. If you're going to post something at least have the courage of your convictions and stand by it.
I know it's already been mentioned in this thread, but maybe it just needs reiterating at points. It's very clearly different, calling someone 'bro' or 'brother', and referring to a group of asian people as 'the brothers' and 'you lot'. Blindingly obviously different. Anyone extrapolating the word 'brother' and suggesting the meaning is no different, isn't reading the context. It's approaching Nudger territory.
