Brilliant. Connell is incredible. All lads did really well, particularly him and Norwood for me. Referee I thought was really good, other than I wish he'd stop them running half way down the pitch for their throwings in first half. I actually think he should have booked cadden in first half

Great team performance that and a great result. Living in Pompey, I now have bragging rights tomorrow when I go into work :D BBC has Pompey at 61% possession…. WTF??? Certainly wasn’t the way I saw it. Anyway, onto Satday…. COYR

Excellent and well deserved victory. Also, three well taken goals, especially the second.
    Norwood my MOTM.

I think that's skewed a little, probably correct but doesn't give context. Last 20/25 minutes we just sat back and controlled them from defence, let them keep the ball in their own half and away from our goal, our job was done attacking-wise and so only time we got forward was a counter. We were by far the better team and that first half could quite easily have been 4/5 goals!

Another Derby-esque performance tonight and a really good watch from the comfort of my PC. The kind of game where you just know they are going to win, despite conceding early in the second half, which I was afraid we might. It was a good Pompey goal but, in truth, that's all they did tonight. About 1200 away fans, the majority who will have spent all day travelling up from the south coast. What a sickener seeing your team outplayed by little old Barnsley :).

I can't remember a season when we have scored so many top quality goals but they were there again tonight. All well constructed, brilliant passing and superb finishing. This team must surely be another promotion-winning one. If that is so then I expect Duff to stay in the job and be given a couple of quality additions in the summer. We must not yo-yo up and down all the time. It's time we went up and stayed up, then another shot at the promised land of riches beyond our wildest dreams.

We're up to 4th in the table and I maintain that the top two are within reach. It looks like a lot of points to make up but beat them both this month, plus Ipswich of course, and it is very much on. I suppose we could settle for 4th or 5th but I'd rather make sure with a 1st or 2nd spot. Wouldn't it be so, SOOOO good to overtake Wednesday and claim some silver ware.

All the more power to brag, we let them have 2/3 of the game and couldn’t win.
    Enjoy

I suspect overtaking Wednesday is probably beyond us, but the upcoming home games against Plymouth and Ipswich are suddenly looking really tasty...

They spent a fair bit of time picking the ball out of their net.

Just home. Another 3 points on the board, cracking performance all round. Norwood and Connell getting better with every game.

Have to give credit to their fans. 1200 from Pompey on a Tuesday is phenomenal really, and they never stopped singing. It must be frustrating being a Pompey fan though, if that’s their brand. They must have had a million passes and just went nowhere with it, really.

Not feeling this behind the net business btw. It’s ok for one half, but useless the other half with my peepers. Looking forward to getting back in the East Stand on Saturday.

Tbf most of that was them passing along the back 4. Must be torture watching them play every week they offered very little.

Very enjoyable north stand experience this evening.

Different perspective on the game, by virtue of completely different pitch viewing angle.

Far superior to the opposition. Everyone friendly. Great night.

Thanks to all who arranged the rejig.

We let them have possession where they couldn’t really hurt us but as soon as we turned the ball over i thought we looked like scoring every time we attacked.
