    What do you think it was like for me growing up in Bolton on Dearne? less than a mile to Doncaster (Barnbrough/Harlington) and Rotherham (Wath) boroughs and we had a Rotherham phone number. Of course we ALL had to put up with a Sheffield post code FFS.

    Surprised at the Barnburgh/Harlington postcodes as Donny is the only south yorkshire town with their own postcode.
    Rest being Sheffield.

    Town? City don’t you know…

    Barnburgh and Harlington both have DN5 post codes, same as Bentley, Scawthorpe, Scawsby, Sprotbrough etc; it changes to S64 for Adwick on Dearne I think. Has to be a boundary somewhere I guess. Think a lot of Mexborough is S64. Certainly has Rotherham area code for the phone numbers.

    DN is the Doncaster post code but it’s a bit generous to describe it as such as it covers a bloody massive area - the DN post code covers a lot of north Lincolnshire too, Gainsborough, Scunthorpe, Immingham, Grimsby, Cleethorpes - plus into East Yorkshire - Goole, Howden, and even Nottinghamshire - Retford. There’s still a working airport with a DN post code as well whilst Humberside stays open. South side of the Humber bridge at Barton has a DN post code too.

    Blame mi bro in law mate. He still says nipping into town re Donny and he's from conisborough lol. My excuse is , mi memory int wot it used to be. :)
