Does anyone know how long Duff's Contract is for? I usually take note of new contracts, I hope we gave him a long one. If it is only 1 or 2 years we could be struggling to keep hold of him.
We’ll struggle to keep hold of him whatever contract he has. A 10 year contract wouldn’t make any difference, if a Club wants him enough. Would just guarantee us compo.
Very true, just like we did to Cheltenham. Just the way it is, we'll enjoy it whilst he's here - that's the main thing! Let's hope the board make the correct decisions when the time comes. His longevity at his clubs are a bonus though, I don't think he would leave to just any tom, dick or harry
Murray is on track to win the National League North with Fylde so we’d welcome him back wouldn’t we ?
The board ought to be seriously contemplating the next manager now and looking at potential blokes/women (I put women in there cos I'm being PC, there are some decent women coming through and I dont really care who it is as long as they're better than Cheap Schopp and Asbaghi) . Might sound ridiculous but its common sense. He's gonna go at some point so lets not do a knee jerk when it happens lets plan ahead.
Look at the league, the names of the clubs near or at the top. We are not far off where historically we should be . We have had, and maybe still have, difficulties. But then again all clubs have troubles to overcome. Duff seems to like it here. It should be chill time and enjoy it for now. I'm getting used to the Kitching cross pitch pass and the Phillips 20 yarder, whilst planted on my bone eroding red seat. My niece got this from Shackletons. you know.
Kompany will be sacked next year when they struggle in PM and Duff won’t get a look in at Burnley at that point.
You are probably right. Though they would have to want him more with a longer contract as they would need to pay more compensation.
Guns & Roses founder member, I doubt he needs a contract. Tommy Stinson probably had one, though. With a release clause for the glorious Replacements reunion. I think I might be on the wrong page.?
Why would a struggling PL side go for a unproven at best Championship manager(hopefully) to keep them up? They would go down usual route like others. How many Championship Managers have gone to struggling PL teams and been successful?
