    Opening in October.

The cranes are there today to lift the pylon tonight. The pylon has been laid on site for quite a few weeks already. As a lot of the work requires possession of the railway, a lot of major structural activity will take place on Saturday night and Sundays over the next few months. Don’t expect loads of work to happen all of a sudden - they can’t close the railway every weekend.

The next big job after the pylon is to install the bridge deck, but this will be in parts and will be propped up temporarily at first.

He's there already in his hi-vis and hard hat signed by Hecky: 'good luck Nudge! Bridge that gap. Hecky'.

OK, I never learn, but this subject is being spoken about on the Barnsley Chronicle's Facebook page. It's like Nudger on acid in there. ARGH. Give me strength. oh and pot holes. I think some people think all the council should do is fill in pot hole and collect ya bins.

As James Brown once said; "Take me to the bridge".

I bet they think it's only Barnsley that has them, every time I hit one I think "Tory backstuds"

Saw it Tuesday. Looks very impressive. Once that's completed and the area tidied up and paved, Barnsley Town centre will look superb.
