Going to try and enjoy the game, having just a couple before the game & then either celebrating or drowning my sorrows afterwards, we'll see.
Just asking for a decent game, a right shift from the lads and a fair result. If we're gonna lose, let it not be due to some howler by the ref.
its nailed on though isnt it either a massive decision is given to the Massives, or we manage a defensive ****-up and gift them a goal
Is it critical? If we lose we’re still in a great position for the playoffs. If we win we’re in a better position for automatic promotion but Plymouth and Ipswich are in better positions so it probably won’t matter? I’d love us to win 5-0 but if we don’t it’s not the end of the world
Easy for me to say sitting over in Ireland but look at it this way... It's going to take the extension of an already phenomenal run to double its current length to have any hope of automatic promotion. On the other hand the play off spot is virtually assured. I reckon it's highly unlikely both Plymouth and Ipswich are both going to slip up and let us past them so, chill out. If we win, great, the run goes on for another week and we can keep hoping against hope. If we lose, well it was always unlikely and we have the fallback of the play offs. That said I'll be avoiding all mention of the game from before kick off til after full time because I can't bear the torture of checking the BBC every two minutes hoping we've either not conceded an equaliser or that we've scored one ourselves or gone in front.
P.s As for it being against Wednesday. If you're not actually at the game it doesn't matter a damn to me whether it's them or Accrington Stanley, they're both about as meaningful.
I very rarely enjoy watching us play these poxy barstewards, seen us undeservedly come unstuck against them too many times!
