Not sure if it's been mentioned already and apologies if it has but according to chronicle we are close to signing free agent Kacper Lopata.

He's apparently a 21 year old Polish CB. Been allowed to leave Southend due to an unpaid wages issue.

Former Blades youth. Don't know anything about him other than what was mentioned in the article I read.

Was mentioned the other day. He’s not allowed to play for us this season as he was still under contract to Southend when the transfer window shut so he’s meant to be going out on loan to Woking for the season.

He'll do well at Woking - they have a new young manager called Jay Cartwright in charge - he'll have them in the champions league in the next few years :)

Absolutely brilliant name - lopata means "shovel" in Polish.

They will struggle once he gets offered a role in the England setup.

Is the "c" pronounced "s"? I'd have thought it was "ac" as in Cack.

Got potential this one. Left Southend in Feb, due to wages being a month late. Southend at the time were in play off positions, they've lost 6 in a row since then but still sit comfortably mid table.
He's expected to go straight into Woking's side as they sit 3rd in the league.
I accept National League is a lot lower standard, but I can get more excited for this one than I can Oli Shaw. Only concern is, does this mean Mads is off?
