Fair point, I've left my bike outside Oakwell, Pride Park and The Pirelli, with no issues so far. I had all my tools taken out of my panniers when I left it outside Burton town hall a few years back when I was serving at Burton beer festival and also in northern Spain last year when the bike was on the back of our motorhome and we were in it in bed. I've never had a bike stolen so far.

Both my bikes would each cost more than a grand to replace, so I'll walk or get the bus or cadge a lift. :)

There are plenty of decent boozers in Burton, my favourite being The Cooper's Tavern. Others include The Devonshire Arms, The Roebuck and micropub The Weighbridge (all four withing a hundred yards of each other near the station). Nearest the Pirelli is The Great Northern (will be full of Burton fans but never been a problem for Reds). Another excellent one is The Burton Bridge Brewery near the old bridge over the Trent, Also the nearby micropub Beeropolis.

There is plenty of parking at the ground, no idea what the cost would be.

Last time i went we went in Coopers Tavern close to the station. Nice place, great if you like your Real Ales. Nice little sun trap courtyard out the back. We liked it that much we were almost late for the game - had to jump in a taxi up to the ground.

There’s parking not far from the ground but the pubs up that end were more like family diner type places.
