I'm in Austria skiing, been here 10 days. Last week I got athlete's foot, which is very unpleasant in a tight fitting ski boot. I couldn't be arsed to find a chemist, so I sprayed it with Armani code. It disappeared overnight, and my right foot smells wonderful.

    Any other unusual remedies?

Soaking your feet in listerine also will get rid of athletes foot.

Never knew that, thank you. Would it be ok to have a gargle with it afterwards?

A couple of smellier options that might be at hand,

    1) Vick’s Vapo Rub
    or
    2 White vinegar.

both are claimed to be effective.

Both alcohol and mild acids are said to be effective on athletes foot as they are anti fungals.

So aftershave or listerine will help, as will vinegar.

I get offered loads of free glasses of schnapps here. I can't stand the stuff so I might start collecting it to use as foot treatment in the future.

Skiing sounds a lot more energetic than a nice sit down.
