Kiko's shut down and Ladies night moved to Thursday in Big fella's. Same thing though. Weekend started early because you went out sniffing on a Thursday.
Im the same age as you. Remember those days well!! Though Maybe not that well I suppose!! I’d be out 4/5 nights a week (including Tarn Wednesday and Saturday) but no way the young uns can afford that sort of behaviour now.
I went in town last Saturday first time in going on for 20 years was pleasantly surprised how busy it was first call Black and White no signs on pumps saying what they sold when I asked the only name I recognised was Madri never had it before awful taste and at £5 20 a pint long time before I try it again. After that enjoyable night bear in mind I'm 75 so caught last bus home
Manx, Alabama Alligator, Old Pav, Silvers, Shakespeare, Chennels, Shambles, No 7 (Downstairs off course), back to Manx for last orders - or Whispers if you were looking for a lady...
Eyup Mate, If your still into your real ales i'd go up the Arcade a few good little boozers up there. We went out a few week ago, started in Market Kitchen then up towards Garrison round to Annie Murrays and Soul then Eadens and then on to Welly Street (which is dead nowadays). There are a few up market boozers though round Tarn Hall now, the Old Bank at side of White Bear is suppose to be good then the few between the old Walkabout and Annie Murrays. Have a good one anyway mate
Top end of town is nice, not been mentioned much so far. Tipsy Cow, Tin Oyle and Pavilion are all decent and pretty civilised. All up by the Premier Inn if you don't know....
Its probally going to be more busy tonight than mentioned in this thread. Theres live music on at the garrison tonight thats sold out.
