May as well keep going, even though I may or may not be ragging these out as I go along.... NUMBER 183 FLEETWOOD MAC - GO YOUR OWN WAY Now this is a brilliant song. A proper chorus. I've been going my own way for years.
Goldfinger was brilliant. Second best song in their debut album in my opinion (Innocent Smile - if you're wondering). Go Your Own Way - excellent as well. I discovered FM as the band that did the F1 music. The more I heard, the more I liked. My daughter likes Rumours too There's been some very good songs thrown out already. I'm interested to see where it goes and hope there won't be too much filler as you get to the business end.
Might get through a few tonight. The wife is out again, and I'm watching Top Of The Pops from 1984 on BBC4. The Thompson Twins won't be appearing. NUMBER 182 TAKE THAT - BACK FOR GOOD Now hear me out. This is a beauty. Gary Barlow is underrated I think (as a songwriter, not as a bloke). He wrote A Million Love Songs when he was 14, but this is his best song. It's a good un.
Doctor Feelgood - Milk and Alcohol. Great RandB band (proper R and B that is). Feelgoods deserve a mention in this thread
NUMBER 182 OASIS - THE MASTERPLAN Noel says it's the best song he's ever written, but that's basically ********. He just likes to say things like this. All we know is that we don't know
There's been some brilliant replies on here btw - some good stuff for me to sink my teeth into. Thank you all
NUMBER 181 SILVER SUN - SERVICE The guitars, the harmonies, the whole package. They should have been so much more than they were. Rest easy James Broad.
Saw them live in '97. They were really good. Never thought they transferred their quality onto recorded media.
Ok here's one that should be totally banned from this list... Although having said that, its still better than Fleetwood Cack.
This song was before my time as its a late 60s song, but it does brings back nice family memories. The Casuals, Jesamine.
NUMBER 180 THE ROLLING STONES - HONKY TONK WOMAN "She blew my nose, then she blew my mind". I bet she did.
NUMBER 179 THE KILLERS - ALL THESE THINGS THAT I'VE DONE This is miles better than Mr Brightside. A hypnotic drumbeat and a baseline to knock your socks off. Loved this album but then they fell off.
