Presumably we have a restriction on him playing against us next Friday? He’s been a regular since he went there on loan so would be a big loss for them if he doesn’t play
He's been good for them, or he was. Not sure about this last month. But Burton fans were raving about them. Not sure whether he could allow him if we let him or not, or as pointed out above, it's a specific EFL rule. I know Cancelo can play against Man City for Bayern in their champs league game but obviously that's a different governing body
Another clean sheet for Burton. No-ones given him more stick than me but they’ve been great since he went there. Funny old game innit?
I don't know if Moon is going to make it at second/third tier level though he seems to be changing opinions a bit. I do know though that you can't throw an inexperienced youngster into a team that is failing in every area of the pitch, has a losing mentality and feeble managers and expect him to thrive. Well done to him for grasping his second chance.
Duff has confirmed he can’t play Friday. Also confirmed that he signed a new deal before he went on loan. Did anyone see anything at the time I didn’t see anything at the time.
I'm pleased he's signed a new deal. Would be good to see how he comes back after a loan spell. If we go up, he might need another loan in League 1. If we don't go up he gives us another option on the left of the back 3 should Kitching be unavailable or be needed at left wing back.
Signed a new deal? Surprised at that to be honest as he’s been poor for us to date. Mind you, he’s been really good at Burton so might turn out a good decision.
Loads said that about Andersen when he first played for us mate. Mistake after mistake. As mentioned above, Moon was thrown in at the deep end, whilst all the rest were under performing, week after week he was being played when be shouldn't have been. He actually looked decent in his cameos under Val - and thats because he was played in a decent team. Needs to be nurtured properly and he certainly hasn't been up until this season
Some silly comments on this thread. A lot of people writing off a young kid, in a terrible team, under terrible managers, after less than a season. Plenty of the more seasoned players have had worse spells, in better teams, and come back.
Brilliant to see him doing well. People incredibly quick to write players off. I think every single player in our squad who were made to play under Asbaghi and/or Schopp, deserve a completely clean slate. In fact, any player stats during that period should be expunged from history.
He looked good, then got worse, then looked decidedly average then downright poor. But set that against the scenario of being thrown in in the Championship. In multiple positions. By a glorified PE teacher. Followed by a glorified, clueless PE teacher. Then is it any wonder he declined. He had a reasonable start, so let's not forget there is a lad there who can play football. With Duff's arm around him there is still a chance we have a decent player on our books. Let's not forget just how p155-p00r those two gaffers were.
