I find it very odd that they didn't have a medical team straight on for a player who's lying motionless on the ground after seemingly taking a blow to the face.
He milked it, no doubt. Can’t argue with sending off though. Clear push in the face and he had to go. Stupid….
England captain right there. Role model to thousands of kids. The message: cheating to get someone sent off is absolutely fine. He should be embarrassed.
Kane could have been sent off for the two fouls he committed just prior to the sending off. His performance was an embarrassment.
I really don’t get why alot of people seem to want Kane to fail, or slag him off. I suppose it could be anybody really, if they do well do England folk seem to hate them. Did he milk it? Yes. But the Everton lad is at fault, and if that’s a player of my club and we’re in a position Everton are in, I’m fuming with his reactions rather than Kane’s. It’s a red card. Harry Kane is a perfect example to kids, he’s an inspiration to adults. I wouldn’t want anyone else as captain of England at this time. Just don’t get why folks want to highlight any slight fault with him at any time. But when he breaks record after record it’s always, yeah but……. Strange but I suppose it’s something that comes with England captaincy. Beckham, Terry, Ferdinand, Rooney. They’ve all had it.
It’s a red card. No complaints. You’re spot on. But Kane’s reaction is embarrassing. He was getting sent off regardless of Kane’s reaction. He didn’t need to do it. I can almost guarantee you, kids around the country see that and copy it. The treatment of refs is currently a big talking point. How is it helping refs in any way, when the top player in the English game is carrying on like that? I think it’s cheating, pure and simple.
Weird. The player in the wrong is the player who lashes out and hits Kane in the face. He rightly gets sent off.
Call me old fashioned but I'd kind of like the captain of England to be a shining example of sportsmanship. And by sportsmanship I don't mean shithousery which seems to have been elevated by some to the status of a virtue.
I think people are suggesting both are wrong. One for raising his arm, one for going down like he's been hit by Deontay Wilder.
Definite sending off but that kind of reaction is embarrassing from any player, I would be gutted if any of ours did that!
That’s football nowadays, rightly or wrongly. 90% of footballers would do the exact same, including our own.
I'd have sent them both off - clear hands to the face from Doucoure, straight red, no arguments. Three yellows for Kane, one for the push on the first bloke, one for the kick on the second and one for the RADA routine.
I've long said it, but the solution to this is really easy. Introduce 5-10 game retrospective bans for examples of clear cheating, and it'll stop overnight. No way does Kane react that way if he's running that risk, and players will stop tripping over imaginary legs in an instant.
