If they bring 5k on a Tuesday night rhats some support. Long journey. Home ends should sell out if we still in race for top 2
Considering they've never even brought close to half that in the past, that would be some following. They seem to have gained a lot of new/previously disillusioned supporters since Marcus Evans left
If any playlist for this match, either from a player or the Club, features any Ed Sheeran, I'm blowing my season tickets up with plastic explosive.
Yeah if the player in charge of the playlist picks an Ed track he should be dropped from the squad. They can however pick I've Got A Brand New Combine Harvester.
Not sure about this, couldn't we have cordoned it off again and filled it with our own? Guess we need to be sure we'd sell out, maybe we're not certain of that? Spose nearly 5000 fowls didn't make any difference to their result tho.
Anyone go on the league one Facebook page. Ipswich out Wednesday the pigs with their smug massiveness
Fair enough, wasn't around for that tbf - well I was, I was probably playing Spyro the Dragon instead though
If anyone was online here prior to the Play Off Final, I'm sure most will remember the online Ipswich fans being a bit, er, "challenging". Thankfully, most seemed alright in person. Notwithstanding that, I'd love us and Plymouth to go up automatically and leave the clubs that "shouldn't be in this league" (Ipswich, Washday, Derby, Bolton) to fight it out for the final place.
I'm not as confident as you that we'll sell out the home end. I can see it being close to 17,000 though.
It'll be about that I reckon. 13,500 home fans when we played Wednesday, bearing in mind that was a local derby.
We should have told them that they can only have 3k but then only provided 2k worth of tickets, just like their players called up for international duties.
If we only get 12,000 fans and we’re going for the top two, we should close the ground. Pack football in and start selling the Big Issue.
Money issues dont just disappear depending on which big club is playing at oakwell. People have to save up to go watch em play. There should be absolutely no footballing reasons why fans won't turn up, so hopefully the ones who can, do.
Yeah, and all of them should be juniors! To be honest I still find it all a bit confusing. From an Ipswich perspective I'd have loved to play us when it was originally set - just after a really tough midweek home game against Wednesday and just before a tricky midweek away trip. They could have taken advantage of the exhaustion we showed against Exeter - can't imagine why they would have wanted to bend the rules in order to try and set up what could be an end of season decider against what's currently the league's other form team.
