    Great Northern and The Beech, both within a few hundred yards of the ground and loads in the town centre about a mile away. Burton isn't an unfriendly place for visiting fans, even if they're playing Dorby.

    Of the 2 nearby ones, I'd opt for The Great Northern.

    If you're parking at the tyre factory, The Beech is right by it, Great Northern is the other side of the ground ( town side).

    Bass was bought out by Coors years ago, they brew beers for other breweries that they bought out, including Sharpe's Doom Bar in Burton. Oddly Bass draft and bottled bitter is brewed by former Bass people in the Marston's (Bass's auld enemy) brewery - the recipe wasn't included in the Coors take-over. Marson's is still there and is a huge place. There are a few other small breweries including Burton Bridge and Burton Town. Burton is definitely still a brewing town.

    Was OK behind nets. Must say, for somewhere that rarely tops 5k (I'm guessing) and you'd think would be a bit laid back, they did have a few bonkers stewards. They seemed more interested in getting it to kick off than some of our balmy lot. First time I've seen one led away by his boss for being a bit too handy.

    We were sent through the far right gangway, and when it began to fill up around where we were, we moved along so that we were between the two right side gangways.

    I do think the stewards could have done more, but when there was an emergency in the right corner, one of them shouted for people to fill space, and hardly anybody budged.
