To be fair he’s been there for a month now. He really ought to have them in the champions league and have won the Grand National, Monaco GP, the Ashes and the challenge cup by this point. Useless… What an absolute basket case of a football club.
Just looked - the owners have been there since summer 2012. Less than eleven years. Wilder is the 20th manager, including the two caretaker stints of Hayden Mullins and short term appointments. Nearly two a year. At least 16 were ‘permanent’ appointments. Absolutely bizarre. The last manager to get more than fifty games left in 2019 and he was the first to get past that figure since Zola left six years before that. Their first managerial decision was to sack Sean Dyche too. Good call. Half their budget must be paying off managers and coaching staff.
There was a stat going round few months ago, Watford have had more managers since 2012 than West Ham have had their entire existence
