When it says suspended does it mean the points deduction will happen next season, or does it mean there's no deduction as long as there's no more breaches? I assume the latter.
The latter. Which basically means that to get a points deduction, you have to have a disqualified, undeclared director twice in a set period of time. Get the first one for free (well, for a 50k fine)
Am I alone in thinking this whole business of punishment next season (if at all) for this season's indiscretions is so very, very wrong and does bugger all for the so-called "integrity of the league?"
It basically means do as the Fuk you want until your caught, then do it again until your caught then push your luck again then think about…….the whole system is a joke
Lol. Anyone else read that as... We regret the oversight (because we forgot that we employed the CEO as a CEO)
EFL VACANCIES As part of its commitment to fair play, the EFL is expanding its Fines & Income Generation Department and is pleased to offer the following opportunities: Trainee Scrutiny and Fines Collection Officer (5 posts) Job Description - applicants must be able to identify EFL rule breaches and concoct complicated reasons for not imposing immediate points deductions, while at the same time extracting as much money as possible from offending clubs. Salary - commission based.
For this case in particular, a suspended points deduction is ridiculous. Appointing a director, without putting them through the proper process to avoid revealing a disqualifying condition, is either worth a points deduction or it isn't. Apparently an 'agreed decision' between the club and the EFL. I bet the club needed all of 5 seconds to snatch the EFL's hand off. Similarly, Reading have taken the p*** with their points deductions. Managed to halve the penalty for one season, on the promise that they'll meet certain conditions. Then didn't meet those conditions. End result, keep the deductions just low enough to potentially keep them in the Championship throughout. The offer there should've been 12 points deducted in one go, or 6 points plus conditions and instant demotion if they don't meet those conditions.
Glad they haven't had a points deduction yet. Much rather they reach the play offs and knock out at least one of the two so called bigger clubs with Bolton and Derby.
Not at all, they should be made to swap places with Peterborough Sports in the National League North.
I think Darragh O'Paddy should be publicly tarred and flogged, that would be a superb and very popular punishment for the 'Posh'.
