Upload your image to an image hosting site and copy the link into the insert image thingy. The icon that looks like a mountain with the sun in the sky. If the image is already on the Web just copy the link into the insert image thingy.

Upload to an image hosting website (Flickr, Photobucket etc.), get the link for the image and then click the "image" button in the BBS reply box (the one that looks like a mountainous landscape) and paste in the address.

    It's a bit of a ballache.

It's not tricky Helen, just visit the site... I use postimage.cc. ..upload the image from your device, then a variety of links pop up, (trial and error for which works best).. copy the link and either paste it, or upload it into your message and it miraculously appears.

I used to be able to copy / paste an image straight into a reply or post on here (Win 10 lappy / Chrome) but now it just errors. I'd post a pic of the error, but .........

    (same with MS Edge)

Same. The going to another website and copying URLs etc sounds far too much effort!

I find that if you want to include a picture from another web site, simply right click the image and select "copy image", then paste it into your post.

Being really nit picky, the text on the dark red background on the image url button (and the edit title thread) is really hard to read

Yes, it doesn't always work for me either...:(
If you download the image then upload it to a sharing service you can then post the link as you would with one of your own pictures.
