    I never think of Christmas songs as actual songs - they're just ******** that you play for 5 days a year. But this is great. He was probably coked up when he wrote the melody - but Taupin seemed to be sober when he did the lyrics. Either way it's a song and a half.

    When I was at Uni, my housemates 18 year old sister came to visit, I was upstairs in my room playing this very loud, she came upstairs, knocked on my door and told me I had cool music taste. I felt ace.

    She married a marine and now presents on Armed Forces TV.
