Steve the amount of support we would take to clubs in SL would be far far bigger then the French teams which is obvious and they wouldn't have far to travel to Fev especially the Yorkshire clubs.
I still haven't got over the RL Cup Final from 40 years ago, when we lost to a little team from Feth. At the moment its a relegation battle already, between us and Wakey and maybe Cass too, so it shows we're in good/bad company.
I'm not much of a Rugby League fan, but having Huddersfield as my hometown it's cool to know it was invented here. It's sad that George Hotel where it was invented has been shut over a decade, plans to reopen towards the end of next year and then this news about the Sport puts a dampener on it.
I always find it strange how football can draw 19/20 thousand in Huddersfield but the RL struggle to get 5000.
You know only too well that it was the '83 RL Challenge Cup Final lol. Damn and blast to that little team from near Feth.
Who, Ive never heard of em lol. I became a Hull Fc fan when watching the '82 Cup Final, which we won against Widnes. Not at Wembley though, it was after the replay at Bell*end road.
I went to both and the atmosphere at Hell end road was awesome shouted for Hull as well but not year after lol.
I'm not keen on the Old faithful song, and other fans kept taking the mick by singing ".. you'll never win at Wembley!". And we didn't of course, for a very long time lol.
We took about 200 fans to Toronto when I went. That’s more than teams such as Dewsbury just down road from bring to our ground
You're a decent bloke and I know from how you speak on here you're passionate about Featherstone. I'd like to see Featherstone in Super League because I can remember old Ellgren shirts in early nineties and Featherstone and Castleford in top flight with Leeds and Wigan. Giving it a right good go. I always want Castleford to do well and look out for their results. Not so much Featherstone with results because the Championship just doesn't get any exposure and that concerns me even more. It would be great to have Featherstone in the Super League though mate. Ditch the continental clubs and expand the Super League is one way forward.
Well c@$ and Wakey were going to vote against it but changed their minds at the 11th hour so summet must have been said for them to change tact.
