I'm flying into Luton late on Friday night, so I'm currently looking at the logistics of going to the match. Luton to MK on the train looks reasonably straightforward, but it's after the match where things start going completely pear-shaped. I only need to get to Peterborough or Grantham, but there seems to be no way other than going back into London and out again, and paying £90 for the privilege! If anyone knows anything I don't, I'd be extremely grateful!
Trainline showing 18:18 from Milton Keynes central arriving 20:07 Peterborough with a change at Nuneaton for £28.90.
I'll be be accompanied by a large suitcase and a very talkative 12 year old girl as a minimum! Transport us at your peril!
Currently running a bus service between Bedford and Bletchley no trains running on Marston Vale line. Something to do with Nadine Dorries not being able to find any one to run the service, may be worth your while checking actual times of service. Check the times of the buses before you set off you don't want to be late. https://www.marstonvalecommunityrai...l-Replacement-18th-January-2021Onwardspdf.pdf This has been going on since 2021.
Can't you travel North to Manchester Piccadilly on the West Coast Mainline and then get the Transpennine from there?
I live in Lincoln mate, and my car is actually parked up at my mum's place is Sleaford. In theory it should be easy from Milton Keynes!
There are no trains running it is a replacement service. Furthermore the ground is in Bletchley not Milton Keynes.
I remember last time I went from Sheffield to Manchester Airport. Left Sheffield 3 hours before check-in, ended up sprinting through departures with assorted bags and cases. Very unpleasant.
