We’re going toe to toe with the team with arguably the biggest budget in the league! We’ve more than matched them & looked better at times. Two sucker punch goals just before half time is disappointing sure, but we’re still in this, an early goal changes everything, & it would be typical Barnsley to get the first victory after coming from behind against the best in the league .

    Unlikely, but you never know.

At least we don’t have them in the play offs. Every cloud!!

Hirst is a unit and finished well, the ball fell for him nicely as Kitching went past. S**t happens.

Ipswich have looked stronger than us. Hope Duff has a plan to get us back in it this half.COYR!

That's the difference between Champions and the rest. They're the best team I've seen at Oakwell this season. Never really looked in any danger at the back, despite all our possession. They've switched on when we've fallen asleep. Jon Russell has been gash. Given the ball away cheaply on 3 or 4 occasions, got a stupid yellow and fell asleep for the first. Need the best half of the season to get anything from this now.

To be fair though if we go 1-0 up that's also it.

Last few games looked a bit leggy and slower tempo. Could be a chance for Cotter. but we haven't really played badly except for those 2 goals.

Good finish but I think Anderson needs to take some responsibility for that goal.

Another 2 deliberate fouls he’s left that Ipswich LB that’s already on a yellow card. Refs are just too weak these days.

My personal opinion is that for much of that half we played the best football we've played all season. Williams (apart from the first couple of minutes), Thomas, Mads, Cadden, and Kane oozed class. Ably backed up by lots of endeavour from the rest of the team. We were much the better side against the best team in the division. And then we made two errors and the best team in the division punished us. It happens. I thought that was spectacular football for League 1 level, better than I often see in the Premier League.

Is it over? Our results this season suggest it is. We go behind and we don't win. That will change eventually. Hopefully it will be today, we certainly deserve it. Doesn't mean it will. But if we keep playing the way we did, other than the two mistakes, we have a chance. And we've got Tedic and Watters to come on. Either way, I thought some of our play in the first half was real quality. Not League 1 quality but proper quality.

If that's a free kick then there is no hope for the game
