    Was it the 2-2 draw where we were done by a retaken penalty in stoppage time? That's when I went. Robinson's pubs that were real dumps.

    Agree on holmfirth road in general, I'd then turn first left in Greenfield, at a pub called the royal George (or similar) to Hyde and join m67 there, Ashton can be a pain. Is she at stepping hill?. There is an alternative, can't describe it very well. On woodhead take a left across a dam. Runs parallel to woodhead for a bit then towards Glossop. Brings you out at Marple which is easier to get to stepping hill as Stockport in a morning is a pain. You'd have to look a map and a sat nav wouldn't follow it. Btw this is totally useless if it's snowing.
