    Cup game. Won one nil when Hendrie was manager. Dave Watson saved a penalty.
    Saw the players training on the beach in the morning.

    Was there for that. Saw the team and Super John/Eric coming out of the Crown hotel to get on their coach before the match. Got a wave as we gave them a 'you Reds!' Great memories :)

    We got into ground quite early and Stumpy was amongst the players having a kick around near the away end.
    He spent more time laughing and joking with the early arrivals than he did warning up.

    A really funny guy !

    Everyone singing Darren, Darren we love you (or give us a wave). He gestured to the crowd, "me?" (as it could have been Darren Barnard). Then crowd changed Darren to Stumpy. Oh Stumpy we love you, we do.

    Buxton is my non-league team, hoping they can make it 2 promotions in a row also! Both teams have done so well. Buxton away to 3rd place Chester though so a tough ask. Joe Ackroyd is on loan at the Bucks and playing most weeks, scored last match I think it was.

    I always used to look for Stalybridge's results as used to play as them on Football Manager but I think they've dropped out of the Conference North or whatever its called these days.

    4th to 13th (3pts separate em all.) in with a chance of play offs. With one game to play..that's why play offs for me are ok.

    They're already above where they were when they were wound up with debts of 2.5 million and facing a season in the Unibond league in the 07/08 season. And they're fan-owned :) the only real sad thing is losing the McCain stadium, the theatre of chips.

    Nahh I think Scarbrough Fc have blown it, in fact you could say they've pi*ssed on their chips (err chips and McCain lol). :p
    Seriously though, I'd like to see them rise up again and get back to the Conference. In fact, could they get back into the League again one day ?.

    Gutted for them after spending the whole campaign in the play off positions. In the end they fell away the last 10 games or so. Lost out by 2 goals.
