Semi finals - like chalk and cheese! Hope So becomes the first Chines and youngest winner ! His long potting has been sublime!

 

Anyone but him. Don't want a Chinese winner. I much prefer hearing players as they have for many years now about who's going to be the first Chinese world champion and how they will dominate the game, but then seeing them constantly fail.

 

Have you watched him play? Amazing!

 

He has done brilliantly in beating a former champion and could be the youngest ever winner. But the likes of Ronnie have been tipping different Chinese players to be world champion for at least a decade and said how they are going to dominate the sport and how seriously they take it (they teach it at school), so it is amusing seeing them constantly be wrong.

 

The opposite of Jimmy White who learned by skipping school!

The Selby Allen game has been hard viewing. They only 5 of the scheduled 8 Frames this afternoon and the other semi could be done tonight. The final is certainly going to be a contrast of styles whoever gets through as you alluded to @Redhelen. I too would love to see Si win it he's been a breath of fresh air this fortnight and the fearless approach of youth is infectious. I wonder what the TV audience in China will be if he makes the final!

 

I just hope the winner comes from the Brecel Si semi as the other one has been an absolute snore fest.

Allen needs to take the shackles off tomorrow. He can’t out-Selby Selby.

Brecel has at least forced a final session on their match, well played lad.

Allen is not the most entertaining of players anyway but he's definitely got himself playing Selbys game. Selby is close to unwatchable at times. Giving they are on first and last tomorrow if it goes anything like the distance it will be a very late finish.

 

Anybody but that boring **** Selby.

 

It'll be a weekend off for me if it isn't an Allen v Brecel final.

Think O'Sullivan was one shocker of a session away from being world Champion and he knows it. His body language on Eurosport tonight was of someone still hurting.

It looks like Jean Claude (Brecel) is making a fight of it, but he's surely got too much to do.
As for the other match, its really dire watching Selby do what he does, but unfortunately that's what wins him tournaments.
I'd like to see Mark Allen win it this year.

 

Mark Allen looks like his cheek bones are going to pierce through his skin. Very commendable him getting fit and losing the lard but he looks to have gone from one extreme to the other.

 

Hahaha, yeah hes gone from the giggling tub of lard, to the serious looking zombie. In fact, he's almost as bad as Steve Claridge.
But hey, he's still a left hander and that has to be respected lol.

 

Some fight back by Brecel. Currently 13 - 14 to Si. Can see this going all the way now which may cause some scheduling issues. There's probably only another 2 hours match time for them in this session and they've still got to have an interval. You've got the Selby Allen match on later which is already behind schedule and will probably go into the small hours. Will they come back after that if they don't finish in this session?

 

Both finalists will be knackered!

 

I'm not sure what the rule would actually be. Would Bracel and Si have to be taken off and allows Allen and Selby to start on time? They should still be OK but as I type this both men are missing sitters. Bracel looks like he will take it.

 

Someone needs to check the betting patterns...
