Jesus wept. It's as though they've won the world cup.... Sick to back teeth of seeing/hearing about them, and I'll put a punt on it it'll be same for a lot of other people soon enough!
I like what they're doing and what they're about. It has gone a bit OTT and can see why they fell foul of Billy Sharp.
So if Notts County, one of the country’s oldest clubs, win the playoffs to get back into the league will that be live too?
F*kin pathetic coverage from the media, and it will only end up putting more fans off them. And eventually when their toy breaks, it will all end in tears, hopefully!.
Some curmudgeonly replies on this thread --- Lets celebrate the brilliant achievement of a small club that was on the point of folding and at one time being kept going by supporters money. The town is buzzing - the Club is part of the community - the community part of the club. Why on earth would anyone object/whinge about this ? Yma o Hyd.
I must have missed the BBC News channel live 2 hour coverage of Stockport's victory parade last year.
Because very few people give a **** yet some of the media are creaming their pants. They've gone and won the bloody Conference title not the championship. Talk about OTT. Hope they fail miserably next season.
It would have been a brilliant achievement. It isn't now, they were expected to walk the league, they did, they'll be expected to be promoted again straight away. Non-league sides shouldn't be able to take a 30+ goal striker off a league one club. They're the Chelsea of non-league. The fans who raised the money needed to save their club pre-hollywood, well done to them, some real commitment.
Got to agree with you. Nice to see a community coming together after years in the doldrums. Doesn't bother me in the slightest that there's a good news story.on TV instead of the usual miserable fair. There's 100+ channels to pick from. Turn it over, or off if it bothers you that much.
