Just to be clear... I don't even hate Leeds or Wednesday, so I'm not about to start hating Wrexham. I hope their supporters enjoy whatever success comes their way. But I also hope they can keep a sense of perspective as they move up the divisions (assuming they do) and don't end up in 20 years time with a self-entitled Wigan-like attitude. I'm not jealous, I'm happy with what's happening at Oakwell and I hope we can continue to move in the right direction, both on and off the pitch. If a rich celebrity bought Barnsley FC tomorrow and wanted to pump money in, I wouldn't grumble, but I'd rather it didn't happen. It's not how I believe sport should work. I know I'm a dinosaur.
He totally is , but anybody on here who thinks Scholes is god is guilty of extreme ignorance anyway, we all KNOW Ronnie is! See I also always thought the idea of this here board was to enable folk to express opinions and stuff!
Wrexham have new owners who have done nothing but good for the team, the club, the town and its residents. 90% of owners of Premier League clubs do none of that and are in football for all the wrong reasons. The hatred needs channeling elsewhere.
I don't agree it's hatred it's just some don't like the overkill more then others. Media gone over the top compared to other teams like say Stockport last season.
It's not even Wrexham's fault. It's the media. It's their decision to cover it due to the Ryan Reynolds angle. Like it or not that's newsworthy and, let's be fair, there's far worse things to lambast the media about. If it were us would we be complaining? One of the questions always asked of our owners is about better marketing of the club. You can hardly blame their owners for milking it. That said I'm not interested in the hype myself and certainly don't class them as a fairy story but then nobody in football does. Anyway, when's Deadpool 3 out?
