Clubs only have to give 2,000 or 10% of capacity, whichever is the lower, to the away team. Bolton have confirmed on their official site that they will be selling the bottom tier of the stand in which away fans are housed to home fans regardless of whether they play us or Wednesday. In such circumstances, we should give them not one ticket more than they give us. What's a few £k versus a better chance of getting to the final, the associated pay day and ultimately the c. £8m it will cost to still be in L1 next season? If we give them the whole North Stand and let them make it feel like a home game for them we deserve everything we get imho.
Correct. It’s our game to make oakwell a fortress. Give them exactly what they give us… stick the black sheet just underneath the gangways so they are all stuck at back of the north stand rather than next to the tunnel. Let’s do our bit and fill our home stands and create an absolute electric atmosphere and not have to worry about 5000 away fans giving their team a boost. Let’s be the fans to drown out their support and get behind our lads for the final push back to the Championship.
Absolutely this. Money's irrelevant. Give some tickets away if we have to, but fill the bloody place with tarn fans. Don't want 5k Trotters roaring their side out. Are you following this thread, Whitey?? Have a word...
I hope everyone who is upset about the potential ticket allocation for Bolton at Oakwell will be in attendance to give the reds full support .
We all know the dirty game Bolton will bring to the pitch. We need to play the same game off the pitch atleast. No more than 2k.
And if courtesy of SYP moving the game I can no longer go does that mean I cant have an opinion on this.
That sounds promising then. It would be crazy to let them bring 5k for the sake of an extra £50k or so.
Nice.. I'd give them 2k at top and section lower of the North with all that netting.. **** em. We would have sold 5k at Bolton away.
