    So it’s essentially the first choice XI given Mads’ injury.

    I’m surprised and I’ll admit slightly worried, it seems a wasted opportunity to have given Williams or Kitching a rest and more minutes to Cundy in case we need him.

    I’m also a bit surprised we haven’t given at least one of Russell or Benson a start and rested Kane. Connell and Phillips have had a game or two off, the strikers rotate and tend not to play 90 minutes anyway.

    Anyway, up to Duff, and I’m not qualified to question him. Just hope it doesn’t bite us on the arse - it’s ok saying we need momentum but what happens if the team desperate to get the win today completely outplay the side with nothing much to play for and knock the confidence levels?

    I’d have had maybe three or four more changes to the team I think.

    I'd have brought Connell on for the last half hour at the most to give him a bit of a runout. If he gets injured/sent off we're buggered.

    I imagine that Russell, Cundy and Benson will get at least 30 minutes, maybe even 45. The Williams selection makes sense, probably a better plan B if Mads isn’t fit than Cundy.
