Morecambe getting rid of most of their squad and not offering anyone a new deal. Doesn’t look good at all for them next year. They wanted 350k for Stockton in the latest transfer window.
A team in the top six of Scottish Prem have already reportedly offered him a contract. Thought to be St Mirren. Surely gonna get better offers than that after last season. Was playing in a really poor side this year. Fleetwood and Burton also been linked very recently. I’m backing Fleetwood to get him.
Clean slate for the manager to work with to try and get them back up. Stockton wasn't as good last season as the one before. I think he had titty lip on from not being allowed to leave last summer.
Stockton's gone on a bit of a purple patch towards the end of the season, presumably putting himself in the shop window. 7 of his 11 league goals came in the last 4 games of the season. Can't say there's anyone in their squad I'd be wanting us to particularly break our neck to sign. Even at their place when they beat us, they looked a very poor side. We were just shocking that day too. Always rated their keeper Conor Ripley, but I'm not that fussed for a 30 year old journeyman keeper, particularly if Isted signs. He'd be back up at best.
If we should try for anyone I reckon that Mo Eisa who scored twice against us at MK dons. Although he’s 28 so probably far too old for us now.
