Of course Isted was at fault he literally pushed it straight to their striker in the middle of the 6 yard box. It was a dangerous cross but he should have done much better with it
Should be taking a lead back to Oakwell, but I'm happy enough with that. No major complaints about the ref except that he should have shown the yellow card to Bolton players a couple of times, one for the deliberate foul on Isted and at least one for the persistent fouls on Connell and Kane.
Happy with the game and the way we played and managed it. I would describe that as neat and tidy and professional. Thought Bolton improved dramatically 2nd half when they saw their long balls doing nothing and decided to try to play. That said we dealt really well with them.....thought their keeper was immence...and imho best players Anderson and Connell. Very finally balanced...still could go either way...enjoyed it today, nice to see our application return, rather than our recent games.
We looked far more threatening than them. Also, even tho they had more possession, it wasn't effective. Would really like to have seen Nors start. Much more aggressive than Tedic and more da gerous in and around the box. Hope he starts in Friday. Could make all the difference.
I only had the commentary, so can’t judge. I’m look good forward to Friday replay.. & would just like to thank my dear old Dad, for never taking me to a Wednesday match when I was a bairn..
Spilled at his near post what a load of ***** he could only get his fingertips to it no way was it the goalkeepers fault.
Slight advantage us I'd say.. according to a few Bolton fans on twitter they didn't turn up.. so all to play for Friday. The advantage of the second leg if it goes to extra time and pens then we're at home. Thought we played oreyt tho today
Sure Mr Duff knows what he’s doing regarding choice of keeper…. There’s a reason Collins isn’t starting and only MD and his team know why…. He’ll be off when his contract ends….. Do I blame Isted for their goal? No Could/should he have done better? Maybe But it was poor defending leading up to it and most certainly should have stopped the cross coming in. He’ll be starting again come Friday. In Duff we trust……. COYR
We were the better team, with a good, solid performance. Also, I think we can move up a couple of gears, too. Well done, lads.
I really think if we cant sell out including half of the North stand for a second leg playoff after that strong performance away then why should anyone invest in or sponsor our town. Come on buy the tickets. Big crowd big atmosphere, match to remember under the lights at oakwell.
