Tbh, thought had crossed my mind. Football has a funny way of kicking you in the goolies and throwing the unexpected. I'd have been more comfortable if Posh had put that sitter in injury time away to make it 5-0. A Wednesday side with literally nothing to lose, and with a slice of luck along the way, could quite conceivably get 4. Its really unlikely I know. But I am not going to over gloat until their demise is confirmed on Thursday. If they start like a train and get 1 back in the first 5 minutes, it then means nearly a whole game to only get 3. Put it like that and I'm not confident any more. It's ingrained from a lifetime supporting Barnsley.
Had to laugh in school today - teachers had to say what their favourite book was. A teacher from Sheffield said It was one flew over the cuckoo's nest because he likes the characters - someone typed underneath - it probably reminds him of his days growing up un Sheffield
Lol. My favourite film ever. I wouldn't have thought the book would have the same impact. But now I might give it a try.
Was it comedy gold. It's not available yet on catch up. Last available episode at the mo was Saturday's. But more about build up to saturdays games.
I didn"t think the wendies were in the play offs, according to their fans they were promoted in February !!
Not for me. I wouldn’t be gutted if we appointed him but aside him being a really obviously lovely guy, I’m not sure he’s actually that good a football manager. It’s easy when things go well and you have the squad he’s had to play with, but you look at the reaction of the team after losing at Oakwell. They have been pretty poor and only beaten the lower ranked sides - and not even all of those. He seems to be unable to stop a run of poor form. He didn’t end well at Donny either, not winning any of his last five games. West Brom sacked him after a run of bad results left them fourth with what appeared to be clearly the best squad in the league. Lovely guy, obviously has some coaching ability, but I don’t think he’s a strong enough motivator - there’s something not quite right anyway.
No. An early Peterborough goal to kill off the tie and a full 90 minute meltdown would be much better.
Me too. If they don't make it after Derby failed in not making the Play-Offs just takes the edge off. I was nervous about the away leg at Bolton but not about the return. What will be, will be after the home leg. If we win on Friday we'll have deserved it. It's just good to be going into the tie and not being on a retrieval mission. It's on us.
Tom the Spireite. Certainly wore his heart on his sleeve. Epitomized what being a fan means to many. Thanks for the link again.
