In 25 years; Four promotions Five relegations A cup win at Wembley A cup semi at Wembley Two cup runs beating European Cup winners Five play off campaigns One season in the Premier League Six national stadium appearances I think beating that lot at Wembley will rank up near the top. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY, WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!!
I started watching in 84/85, **** all happened for years until 97. At school it was ****, boring seasons, mid table finishes apart from the near play off - no wonder mates lost interest. Much rather have the last 25 years!
We've had our fair share of brilliant days as reds fans. Tonight was up there for atmosphere amongst them all.
Brought my eldest to her first game tonight, gonna be some long years ahead of her, but the good times make up for it.
My son’s first season, when he was 6, ended in two trips to Wembley, two trophies and a promotion. I told him to make the most of it, cos it might be another 30 years till we play there again. The Spurs game was on a school night, but he’s delighting in the fact that he’s seeing his 3rd Reds game at Wembley at aged 13, when I was 46 when I saw my third Reds game there
There was about 10 minutes in the second half when you could hear the Bolton fans, the rest of the time the Ponty was deafening.
Even the folks in the West Stand upper were jumping up and down and singing their heads off. Don’t remember seeing that before. Brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. Evatt is truly a knob.
