Is there any clarification as to whether for season ticket holders it’s 6 per transaction or 6 per STH in the network? I have 9 in my network including myself. 8 of which I’m hoping to buy for..

    Thanks

I'm assuming, but I don't know for sure, that this means you can buy multiples of six per season ticket?

'Season Ticket Holders are allowed to purchase up to a maximum of 6 tickets. Please note this is a maximum of 6 tickets in total and therefore supporters may not purchase further tickets in a separate transaction once they have reached their limit.'

What you can't do is buy six with one ST code, and then use that same code to buy another six. I'm interpreting this though rather than saying it is how it is.

200 max is ~2.5% of our ST base. I don't believe we should be basing Day 1 ticket allocation on what a max of 2.5% of ST holders might do. I just don't agree with 6 tickets. At all.

Other reasons as well. As stated in a previous post. Personally don't think the number of tickets will impact on anyone and make everything a lot smoother - especially with this announcement on General Sale being a max of two.

Some season ticket holders won't go, the majority will buy with other season ticket holders and a small number extra, others will be able to help out those wanting more than two tickets.

Thanks, we figured that was probably the case. Hopefully there’ll be some official clarification from the club at some point

I know you're only passing the information on but what are the actual "following directives"? Because surely there is room for a second category after season ticket holders but before general sale for people or something

One thing is certain, if this proves to be a Rowingesque **** up no one will take responsibility. It'll have been the "only decision possible given the circumstances"

I would guess, and a lot of what I'm saying is guessing, is that the extra 24 hours Wednesday had by qualifying first has made a huge difference here.

They've introduced different levels, but that's because their database is probably three times bigger than ours and they'll sell out. Any levels you add in would take a day away from being able to sell tickets to others.

That's why I think the six tickets makes sense in hindsight. Because anyone who's been to a lot of games likely knows a ST Holder or two. They'll just come together in groups.

WhatsApp will go down in South Yorkshire tonight with all the planning.

That's my understanding of it too.

"We have been allocated 37,325 tickets for the West End of Wembley Stadium. Tickets will be sold from North Stand round to the South Stand."

    But then...

"Singing Area – Barnsley FC recommend fans who would like to sit in the designated singing area choose Blocks 133/134."

"Standing Area – Wembley Stadium has received approval for licensed standing areas as of the 2022/23 season. The standing area is located at the rear of the 3 blocks behind the goals on Level 1, at either end of the Stadium, incorporating around 867 seats. Please purchase tickets in the Standing Area if you wish to stand, as standing will not be permitted in any other area of the Stadium."

But you can't do that if they're being sold from the North Stand round to the South Stand. You'll simply be allocated seats in those blocks if you happen to login when they're the blocks that are being sold.

You would think. 'If you've bought more than 10 tickets this season, you're in Day Two and can buy 4. More than 5, Day 3....' etc etc

I don't know how that will work online is my only caveat. If you're trying to order more than six with multiple season tickets, it might be one that needs to be done over the phone.

Yeah I've read the previous post. I understand all the points being made. I still don't agree with 6 tickets. I don't agree with this stupid 2 ticket rule either. Or not being allowed to take under 2s. But hey.

I would agree with you but Sheffield Wednesday tickets don't go on sale till tomorrow just like ours do, in fact they go on sale after ours. 10am versus our 9am.

It looks yet again like the club have left any planning until the last minute. Waited till it was absolutely confirmed they would be n the final and then scrambled around thinking of how they could possibly sell tickets.

Not enough days between games to do that would be my guess. The club are trying to sell 30,000 plus tickets in 5/6 days. Especially when we won't sell out - you'd be having a whole day just for c. 500 fans.

Kind of like how Sheffield Wednesday are doing it. After season ticket holders they have a period for club members before general sale. We didn't bother with that

On this basis refer to my comment on the size of each club's database. They HAVE to go down this route to that and the demand. We don't need to and will be fine with what has been launched.

The only thing I disagree with, and it's the EFL directive, is two tickets for General Admission. But there is a genuine risk Sheffield Wednesday fans sit in our end - we can't ignore that. But there should be a better way.

Latter two out of the club's hand. The first one implemented to try and help with one of those latter two points.

The piss take there loko is that Sheffield Wednesday are doing just that using ticket master in the same timeframe that we, also using Ticketmaster, can't. And the irony is that Barnsley fans are being forced to pay an almost double price booking fee to the same agent for a poorer service.

Can someone try to find out why we are being conned with the booking fee? It makes no sense at all

Sheffield Wednesday HAVE to. We don't need to. It won't impact anyone as the numbers are so small.

Booking fee point is totally valid though.
