I'm flying down from Glasgow on Monday morning and returning Monday evening. I would probably have come down for the weekend but I'm at an event up in Inverness till Sunday so I've got a 4ish hour train journey south on Sunday evening as well o_O

I'm based in the UK for the first time in 20 years, so not flying in for me is a novelty! However, I am flying to France on Tuesday morning if that counts!

Travelling from North Wales via train but it’s only an additional 1.5hrs travel than for a home game for us.

He lived in Barnsley for a few years but went back to Scotland with work and to marry.
He flew down to Cardiff for the Swansea game also both games against Oxford and Millwall. When he was a child Stirling Albion was his team but I would class him more of a Red nowadays.

I gave serious thought to flying in but, at the end of the day, I'd have little change out of £500 for the whole trip. I can't justify that I'm afraid so this will be the first showpiece game I've ever missed. :(

My sister (Calgary Tyke) just happens to be in the Uk, so she’s attending. Her friend Phil, who she met out there, originally from Fitzwilliam is flying over from Calgary.

My first time missing out on a Wembley trip, or at least it will be unless I changed my mind by the weekend. Unlikely though. Long trips are not appealing any more, for me. I know some travel further but the big comfy recliner in front of Sky is favourite at the moment

Me and ma boy coming from Denmark.....just had to negotiate with his teacher about the Tuesday. It's right in the middle of exams so the negotiations compromised with us getting up at the crack of dawn (no jokes please) to get a flight just after 7am.....one of my sons arguments was that it's a once in a lifetime chance.....had to remind him it will be his third time.....lol......hope it's worth it....you reds!

    o/t count yourself lucky!
My father a Bangor student* in the early 1960's recalls being part of a protest march and signing various petitions against Beeching's proposed closure of the Chester to Holyhead line. Would have been complete madness - fortunately common sense prevailed.
He also recalls the time the Tubular Bridge (railway) over the Straits caught fire - some lads looking for birds nests with burning newspaper.
    * I was there some time later.
I think you have links with Menai Bridge/Bangor?? The Suspension Bridge is stunning - to think it's 250 years old. Plans to build a third crossing over the Straits afoot - from what I can see it's somehow linked to the present roadway which runs over the railway??
    Hwyl!
