EFL TICKET REALLOCATION STATEMENT Club News Barnsley Football Club is disappointed to learn that the English Football League (EFL) has reallocated the total amount of tickets for the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final. Continue reading on the official site...
Unnecessary statement. Can’t kick off about the reallocation given the sales. Just say they raised concerns about fan safety but were given assurances.
Personally can’t see a problem with it if I’m honest , it would be nice to have a latest update on our ticket sales.
Ask the club to ask where the security was in the 2016 play off against Millwall. Did anyone become accountable for this. They were quick to fine BFC for chanting which was beyond BFC control . Yet nothing came of the 2016 event where several brave adults carried out the security from being attacked face prosecution cases against them for the failings of Wembley arena. Seems fair enough to me. EFL carry on regardless of safety concerns. They will really have to hope there are no issues now.
Wembley's assurances are worth diddly squat, after what was allowed to happen in the Upper Tier at our playoff final v Millwall in 2016.
"The EFL are confident that the safety measures put in place are sufficient" Translated as......the efl couldn't give a flying fook and if owt happens, we'll crucify bfc.
Well done BFC - having had relatives and friends hurt in the 2016 incident, one of whom has never felt able to attend again, I think this is out of order and totally tone deaf from the EFL.
No need for a statement. Wembley is a business. We didn't sell many tickets so they are letting Wednesday sell them. It's not our stadium to try and call the shots. Who has the most fans doesn't matter. If it did they would be in the Premier League and they aren't.
Not really I think it shows the club acknowledge what happened in 2016 and have let the supporters know they have raised safety concerns before a increased allocation was given. Every club has dickheads I think Millwall have more than most but I hope no one especially family's get attacked like in 2016
