Yes the issue seems to be that staffing inside the stadium was rubbish in 2016 for safety. But now it's 2023, hopefully lessons were learned, and the vast majority of those staff that were useless against Millwall will not be at our game.
Makes no odds VAR. More fans works both ways Too much pressure and they bottle it Anyway it is what it is Wednesday were always going to have more tickets than us. Don't know why some thought different, both clubs getting 37k was always ridiculous.
That’s only for clear and obvious errors which they still make even with it. Doesn’t stop all the little decisions in between. It’s why we kept Boltons tickets to the lowest amount we could let’s not forget.
That’s the issue. If they’d allocated 43k and 31k originally, they could’ve done it in a way that avoided one set of fans in the top tier, directly above opposing fans
Yeah, I get that. I take back the bit about the statement being unnecessary, but i think they’ve got the tone wrong. It comes across as a bit bitter, rather than concerned
Millwall had 36k at Wembley in 2016 we had 23k how did that pan out? I always think its too easy to always blame the ref even at the burton game the score was still 0-0 when the ref ****** up we could have gone on and won. I'd like to think the ref is fair and professional he's been watched on sky all around the world.
i'll be quite close again just like the willmall game, but without trying to praise wendy's their fans are usually better behaved than those cockney scum, yes they'll be abuse etc given from either side but cannot see it on the same scale as 2016, and i'm in roughly the same area again
I don't get that I just think there covering there backs if out does happen which I don't think it will and no statement. some on here will be saying the club should have stopped Wednesday getting the allocation, rolled over again etc
You'll be fine Wednesday fans are not scum like Millwall if trouble happens it will be at the services or outside Wembley I'd imagine not kids and family's and innocent people getting attacked again
They wanted us to kick off at 2.30 am monday morning and keep barnsley fans behind untill 6am but the Met reassured them it's all under control
Fans will be mixing in thousands before and after the game. That's where it could be a bit naughty in my view after we've beat em. There will be more security than at the Millwall game given proximity of fans to one another. The millwall small contingent walked all way round the top tier to get there. Totally unexpected. Totally unprepared.
I've just emailed Trevor Birch (EFL CEO), the FA CEO, the CEO of Wembley, the leader of Brent Council, Barry Gardiner (MP for Brent North - constituency in which Wembley sits) and Dan Jarvis - for all the good it will probably do. That's why I was praising our club.
