"Did Barnsley deserve to lose, absolutely not". The authorities have a lot to answer for but it will be brushed under the carpet. No one will be held accountable. Absolutely ******* disgusting.
Smith forearm smash in the first minute doesn't get a card, yet Phillips was wild but didn't touch him and gets a red and don't get me started on Kitching getting chopped in two for the no pen.
We should take the ref/VAR to court. Its just cost us 7 million quid yet there’s zero accountability for it.
He was awful for us as a player and I've never really liked him as a co-commentator. But he/Goodman has called it well and fairly today. All the neutral pundits have said the same as well, that the refs got those decisions wrong, within a few minutes of each other. I'm struggling to be unbiased here of course, but we most definitely didn't deserve to lose that way.
Ive been a **** on here for defending officials over the course of this season but even with VAR today that was disgusting. Robbed.
To be fair, I've listened to him a few times this season and through Michael Duff we seem to have won him over.
In a normal league one game I could accept both of those decisions made a full speed. However how another referee can sit and look at VAR and not give the penalty is beyond me. Either deliberately biased or incompetent to the point of deserving to be sacked.
All VAR is about clear and obvious errors. The referees in the var room don't like admitting that their mates have made a clear and obvious error. It's all ********.
I’ve heard all that “clear and obvious “ stuff before. How can it be a clear and obvious error for an offside decision when players are running at speed and VAR sees that the attacker is 10mm offside? Error? maybe , but clear and obvious, never!
Keep promoting this. Keep publishing it on social media. Let our voices be heard and let the club hear us and they will have no choice but to put out something Into them corrupted ******** reds!!!!!!!@@
Give over. Nothing will change. Clubs like us will forever get the s***y end of the stick when it come to decisions against the so called bigger clubs. I was glad to hear we’d got VAR today as I thought it would ensure fair play. Apparently not….
I didn't think it was a penalty. Two players both feet up trying to kick the ball. If that's a penalty we may as well declare it a non contact sport and have done with it. But you have to apply the same for the sending off. Both going for the ball and one misses and catches the other with the impetus of his tackle. Yellow card at the absolute most. VAR officials should have asked the referee to look at both incidents and confirm or reverse his decision. The officials stitched us up today.
Disagree with you there - I can see why Phillips’ tackle could be ruled as not a clear and obvious mistake by the Referee although if he’d given a yellow don’t think it would have been changed to a Red by VAR but in the Prem I think the penalty would be reviewed and given every week.
