There is no way in a million years this was worse than Odejayis. Odejayi was clean through on goal, ball at his feet and entire goal to hit at. Luca has ran half the pitch, is absolutely knackered, was probably expecting Thomas to have a go himself.

Agree with this apart from the wrong foot bit.
Almost certainly due to tiredness. And apart from that one miss-kick I thought he had a good game

I think your been generous. I like connell and he's been good for us but it was a very bad miss he had time to take a touch. If another player not so popular misses its a different story.

Also, Connell is a defensive midfielder, Odejayi was a striker.

Just seen it back on the highlights this morning as it was hard to judge it properly live from where I was in the stadium.
Luca is a top, top player but you can't dress it up, that was a shocker of a miss.

No one in the world is going to be more disappointed and have to relive that moment over and over in his mind than Luca. Bet he’s absolutely gutted and in bits about it also.

It should never have been Luca’s chance. Thomas or Kitching should have taken it on prior. We just dallied around with it.

bit harsh on Kitching there. I agree Thomas probably should have shot but had Connel scored we would all have said he made the right choice to pass. In any case its not in the same league as Odejayi's miss

And Odejayi's miss was in a fixture that we'll never play in again... an Fa cup semi final.

Not a chance that was worse than Odejayi's in my opinion. I agree with the above post saying Thomas should have been more direct - 100% agree. Even if keeper had parried it back into play, we'd have a 2v1 on

Err you just said it twice lol.
We often do make the 5th round, but most of the time that's as far as it goes. If we were to get past it and get the luck of the draw in the Qtrs, then who knows.

This has lived rent free in my head all day. It's ghastly. I'll look back on this in years to come rather than the awful officiating.
