I'll be honest, I'd be very disappointed in him if he left without getting us promoted, but I honestly don't think he'd leave without seeing the job through.
A long term project means he’ll stay on and have another crack next season for me. He’s a loyal guy who doesn’t just naff off after 1 season somewhere else. Been proven by him only being at 2 clubs his whole career. Hope I’m correct in thinking this anyway.
We’ll never progress into a stable Championship club if we keep losing the manager/head coach every season. The club needs a bit of consistency, and I really hope Duff gives us that.
His source is Nixon, who loves a conspiracy theory. Didn't he say that Duff was off to Blackpool last summer. He just makes stuff up because he hasn't actually got any sources. Duff does a brilliant job at Oakwell, Warnock MIGHT NOT fancy another season. Lo and behold 2+2 =5
it's football. I doubt he'll be actively looking, like certain other previous managers did. but if someone comes in for him, he's always gonna be interested if it's the right club with the right offer. Khaled has already said they're going to do everything they can to keep him, but we all know if a club comes in and it's too good to turn down, he'll be off
Seems as he's obviously going according to some on here, let me be the first to chuck in the name Jon Brady as our next manager. Got seven promotions I think with Brackley. Just got Northampton out of League 2. Won over 50 games as their manager, with a 1.53 PPG.
It appears that a Mr Duff has just recently brought a house in the region of 800,ooo in the Cawthorne/west Bretton/Denby Dale area. The estate agent friend of mine didn't know if the initial was M. That puts him local for any decent jobs including Burnley in the future. The only thing would Huddersfield pay any release clauses.
Presumably he's referring to Aaron Leya Iseka? Duff eluded to him being disruptive at the start of the season.
With respect. He doesn't know his initial. Neither does he know where, according to that. Not even pinning down to South yorkshire or West Yorkshire. Poor rumour (that'll be spread into fact by some) at best.
Good news if duff is here at the start of the season I'll get a season ticket. Fell out of love with it after conways doings and didn't renew last year but he's got me back interested.
He might leave. He might stay. Who knows. What I'll say is that Michael duff has shown throughout his career that he's quite a loyal man who hasn't moved from club to club so leaving isn't necessarily a foregone conclusion. If he does choose to leave he can do far better than Huddersfield. That's no disrespect to Huddersfield, it would be a (hopefully short term) step up from us but if and when he chooses to leave us it shouldn't be for a step up, it should be for 3 or 4 steps up.
It’s not the first time it’s been mentioned before in the past - players more interested in joking about during training then doing any work, you can’t tell me that team was physically fit during the relegation season, because they weren’t.
Well, he had an opportunity to say he isn't going anywhere in that interview... Look, if he goes, he goes, I don't wish him any ill will. Of course I'd love him to stay, but it's just the way the world works. He seems a level headed bloke and might think that Huddersfield, in their current state, aren't exactly an attractive proposition. Let's just see what happens.
There was speculation at that time he had chance to go to Leeds. Your memory is serving you well young Hooky .
Not sure why the OP should title the thread " He"s definitely off " when this is a speculative tweet , similar to previous speculation & guess what it is close season now & countless rumours especially from such as Nixon will be doing the rounds , there is nothing at all to suggest that he is definitely off at all but we as a fan base seem to embrace every piece of gloomy spec as if is nailed on , it really winds me up , just simply wait & see what happens before jumping to conclusions .
I know you are in agreement with me pretty much, but no manager is going to say I'm definitely not going anywhere though, are they? If you worked in a climate where your annual salary could just double out of the blue, would you honestly write that possibility off without even speaking to them? If the money is right, the prospects are decent and it suits his family, of course he will go. Anyone would be nuts not to. Owners give very little loyalty and patience to their managers so why should they be any different?
