I'm so glad I've just landed in Toulouse for a mini-holiday. Couldn't imagine being back at work this morning. The disappointment is still very raw
Was supposed to go into the office in London this morning. Went home instead and worked on the train. (Was feeling a bit sniffly also)
Gutted we’ve not gone up but I think the time we will spend on this league will keep the younger generation interested. My lads first proper season was the runner up season and he loved every minute of it, all his mates have started going this season who was supporting premier league teams and now they all have the bug and are getting season tickets next year….for us old timers it’s sickening, for the future following it does have positives
This is another positive, my son was ready to go the season before but I deliberately didn’t take him, if he saw us lose every week he’d be supporting Man City by now like half his class, this season he’s seen every game and he’s hooked, and just like you his mates have now started going to games, we saw 2 at Wembley yesterday who before now supported prem teams. Success breeds the next generation and this season has definitely won us some future fans. Also, just got back from walking the dogs, 4 kids all in Barnsley kits playing a match in the park, all singing about Barnsley, wouldn’t have seen that the day after relegation last season, the prides back
Me, Wednesday w anchors in my messages saying how we deserved what we got. And that we didn’t deserve it anyway as they finished loads of points above….annoying is not the word… hope they end up in league 2
Don’t look… they all mention how wonderful the son of the great Dean windass followed on his fathers footsteps… oh and a bit at the end that Barnsley were on the end of some unfortunate decisions.
